Old San Juan

San Cristobal
Located in the city of San Juan, the Castillo San Cristobal is one of the most impressive sites to visit in Puerto Rico. It is part of the San Juan National Historic Site and is one of the most prominent forts built by the Spanish in the New World.
The walls of the Castillo San Cristobal are more than 150 feet high and rise from the ground to the top of the fortress. The fortress is known for its defenses, which were built to ward off land attacks. Its defenses included a dry moat and tunnels. The fort is also known for its underground cisterns, which were built to catch rainwater.

Cueva del Indio is located on the north coast of Puerto Rico; an archaeological site tucked away in a wooded area. It is famous for its natural arches and petroglyphs. It is also a popular tourist destination.
The Taino Indians made use of these caves to hold tribal meetings. Some of the drawings are still visible on the walls. You can also visit the small museum nearby. The name Cueva del Indio comes from the pre-Columbian petroglyphs in the cave. You can visit this cave by taking a moderate hike.
